Built on a rich tradition of Cycling, the Central West of NSW can lay claim to being the birthplace of cycling in NSW with both W.R.George of Bathurst and Mr George Roth of Dubbo having been reported as building and riding the first bicycles in the state.
Since then some of the world’s best cyclists who have come from the Western Division of NSW, including Bob Spears, Reggie McNamara, Frank Corry, George Wiburd… and more recently Commonweath Games Gold medallists Mark Renshaw and Megan Dunn

The Western NSW Divisional Titles were first held at Bathurst on New Years day 1887 with championships at Dubbo & Lithgow in next 5years. The current format of the Western Division Championships forming in 2011 in Mudgee. For More Details... CLICK Here!
Western Division Cycling ran a successful Western NSW Premierships Cycling Series in 1998 through to 2010. But in 2011 we returned to the more formal annual Championship format using a new Western Division Working Party Committee approach designed in consultation with then CEO of CNSW Kevin Young - For more details on the Western Division Management..
